NYU construction accident kills a contractor
On Friday, November 15, a construction worker fell 40 feet from a scaffolding unit. The scaffolding was connected to a New York University building in Greenwich Village. Police investigators reported that the victim died at the accident site.
The victim was a contractor for D.P. Consulting Corp. hired to work construction on the façade of NYU’s Language and Literature building. NYU officials said they cancelled work at the construction site to “ensure that our contractors are in compliance with safety.”
