Personnel from the Department of Transportation spent a great deal of time recently repairing some of the many potholes that have cropped up in New York City. DOT officials said the agency has been able to repair at least 1,100 potholes along the two-mile stretch of the Belt Parkway in Brooklyn as of Thursday, February 6.
Robert Sinclair with AAA New York said that the number of potholes in roads in New York this year, which is considered to be due in part to the drastic changes of temperature in the Tri-state area, has been a real burden to motorists, who have had to pull over several times to change their tires.
The DOT has already has already filled more than 60,000 potholes all over the city since starting in January.
While completing road repairs such as this is necessary, it can compromise the safety of a construction worker who is working on the project. If you are a construction worker who has been injured on the job in New York City, get in touch with Hach & Rose, LLP. The New York State Department of Transportation has started working on how to imrpove the Route 328 Corridor to the Pennsylvania State line to Route 14. However, Chemung County Sheriff Christopher Moss said the proprietors of Shepherd’s Food Market are anxious that customers won’t be able to easily access their store from the Pine City exit.
Moss said townspeople, civil society, and various stakeholders were invited to attend the meeting that took place on Tuesday, October 1 at around 6:15 p.m. at the Pine City Fire Company to address these issues.
