Worker injured at Second Avenue construction site
A construction worker is in serious but stable condition after being injured in a construction accident at a Second Avenue subway worksite near 84th Street, NBC New York reported on Thursday, August 21.
According to authorities, the man was injured after a concrete-cleaning tool fell and struck him in the leg. Firefighters had to used a crane to retrieve him from the site of the incident, close to 300 feet underground.
The injured worker was transported to Cornell Weill Hospital.
